William Travis is a graduate student in the GPS and Vehicle Dynamics Lab (GAVLAB) at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama studying ground vehicle navigation. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 and a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2006, both from Auburn University. He was a member of and developed the navigation system for the 2005 SciAutonics-Auburn Engineering DARPA Grand Challenge team. Currently, he is investigating relative positioning strategies for ground vehicles in direct support of the FCS RCX demo. Areas of experience include guidance and navigation systems, GPS, ground vehicle dynamics, and control systems. Check out William's homepage.
